FAQ - E2SS Cylinder Sensor discontinuation with No Replacement / Turck Replacement

Q: Does Omron currently offer any Cylinder Sensors?

A: No, Omron no longer manufactures Cylinder Sensors.

The E2SS Series was the Cylinder Sensor models that Omron used to offer. However, it has been discontinued with No Replacement. A similar, but not identical alternative such as E2S Series may be considered, but the E2S Series is an inductive proximity sensor without Cylinder Mounting.

The Official Discontinuation notice recommends the line of products from the brand "Turck". However, this is not sold by Omron.
