Q: What are the license options for AutoVISION, and when should it be used?
A: AutoVISION requires a runtime license to program and run PC-based vision systems. Two license options are available, depending on the type of cameras being used:
License Options:
GMV-VGL0-1DD1
- Use: For Omron M Series GigE or USB 3.0 cameras, as well as legacy Microscan GigE cameras.
- Description: This license is specifically designed for seamless integration with Omron's own camera products, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization.
GMV-VGL8-1DD1
- Use: For third-party cameras, including Basler ACE series and Baumer VCXG series cameras.
- Description: This license enables the use of a broader range of third-party GigE Vision cameras for more flexible application scenarios.
The license is supplied as a USB dongle that plugs into the PC.
There is no need for a separate development license; the runtime license covers both programming and operation.
Choose the appropriate license based on the camera type to ensure proper functionality and compliance with AutoVISION requirements.
