FAQ - Unable to Connect to Autovision Software

Q: Why am I unable to connect to a camera with the Autovision software?


A: Here are possible solutions that can resolve the issue:

  • Is your PC set to a static IP? Ensure your PC is set with a static IP address.
  • Is your PC on the same subnet as the camera? Verify your PC is on the same subnet as the camera, by default, the camera is set to 192.168.188.2.
  • Do you have the most recent version of Autovision? You can find the latest version under References.
  • If Sysmac or CX-One are installed, have you disabled the Direct Ethernet Utility? The Direct Ethernet Utility can interfere with AutoVISION. Temporarily disable it to connect to the camera. 

        Warning: Make sure to re-enable the Direct Ethernet Utility after finishing with the camera.
