FAQ - MY Series Relays - Difference between MY and MY(S)

Modified on Wed, 5 Feb at 9:38 AM

Q: What is the difference between MY and MY(S) relay models?

A:

There are no functional differences between these models; they operate in the same way.

The (S) designation indicates the inclusion of a mechanical operation indicator and a nameplate.

Omron has incorporated several user-friendly features for added convenience, including color-coding to distinguish between AC and DC types, a lockable test button, and a nameplate for custom relay identification.

New Features

1. More easily distinguished AC/DC coil voltage specifications

* Voltage is printed on white tape in the case of the Standard 3-pole model (MY3).

2. Latching levers convenient for circuit checking and MY(S) models equipped with mechanical operation indicators and operation indicators for monitoring operation status are available.

3. Contact materials and contact structures can be selected based on contact reliability and corrosion resistance.

To order the new part number, simply add (S) to the end of the part number, after the coil voltage.
