Q: Is it possible to install an E5_C series temperature controller inside a closed or sealed environment?
A: The temperature controller can be installed inside a closed enclosure as long as the ambient temperature remains within its specified operating range which is −10 to 55°C (with no condensation or icing) for this series.
The temperature controllers from the E5_C series dissipate heat through convection, releasing warm air from the top and drawing in cooler air from the bottom. Therefore, maintaining proper temperature conditions inside the enclosure is essential for reliable operation.
The overall thermal performance will also depend on other components installed within the same enclosure and their combined heat generation.
