CJ1W-SCU42 communicates serially using TXDU and RXDU

Purpose

Transmit serial communications using TXDU and RXDU to a CJ1W-SCU42 port 2 module 



Problem Explanation/Objective

CJ1W-SCU42 can communicate serially to barcode or other 3rd party devices that has RS232c ports .
Use TXDU to transmit serial command and RXDU to receive serial commands. 



Supported devices

CJ1W-SCU42 ver 2.0

CJ2M-CPU31 ver 2.0

CJ1W-PA205R

USB A to USB B cable

C200H-CN220-EU cable

CS1W-CIF41 adaptor





Requirements

CJ1W-SCU42 ver 2.0, CJ2M-CPU31 ver 2.0, CJ1W-PA205R, USB A to USB B cable, C200H-CN220-EU cable

and CS1W-CIF41 adaptor are the hardware devices and Cx Programmer along with Supermon ver 5.0 are the software . 



Procedure


1.  Launch Cx Programmer and Go Online using a USB A to USB B cable. 

2.  Create the IO Table selecting by selecting IO Table and Unit Setup, select Options then Create

3.  Double click on the CJ1W-CU42 under the Main Rack and populate User Settings, No-Protocol,

     8 bits, 1 bit, None, and 9600 as shown below : 


4.  Select Transfer [PC to Unit] 

5.  Program a ladder instruction with MOV and TXDU instructions to populate your Source word, Control word, and Number       of Bytes.


6.  Program a ladder instruction with MOV and RXDU instructions to populate your Source word, Control word, and Number       of Bytes. 


7.  See attached sample Cx Programmer file and SuperMon software to assist in learning TXDU and RXDU
