TG - LVS-95XX – Multi-Sector Quick Start Guide

Purpose

This guide will provide a walk through on how to setup a multi-sector template for grading.

Problem Explanation/Objective

Multi-Sector is a way to grade multiple barcodes in a captured image that need to be graded to the same application standard. 

Supported devices

• LVS-95xx Software
• LVS-9510
• LVS-9570
• LVS-9580
• LVS-9585

Requirements

You will need the LVS-95xx software and one of the following devices. 

• LVS-9510
• LVS-9570
• LVS-9580
• LVS-9585

Procedure

1. In the Setup tab of the LVS-95XX software, select multi-sector in the optional features drop down menu.
   
    
   
   
   
2. Select, “Create a new format”.  Then click the Ok button to continue.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Give this new multi-sector template a name.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select an application standard.  Then click Ok to continue.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Scan the label if there is no image in the view.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Draw a rectangle ROI (region of interest) box around the first barcode.
   
    
   
   
   
7. To add a new ROI for an additional barcode, hold down the Shift key and draw a new rectangle with a left click and drag of the mouse. Repeat this step if additional barcodes are needed.
   
    
   
   
   
8. If you need to edit any of the ROI’s, select one by click on its outline, then redraw the ROI.   An ROI can be deleted by selecting it and pressing the delete key on the keyboard.
   
   
9. If you are done setting up the template, you will now have to activate this template to start grading in the multi-sector mode.  Go back to the Setup tab of the LVS-95XX software and select multi-sector again.   
   
    
   
   
   
10. In the Option window, select an existing format and click the Ok button to continue.
    
     
    
    
    
11. Select the template that you would like to start using.  Then click the Ok button.
    
     
    
    
    
12. In the function selection, select start.  Then click the Ok button to begin multi-sector grading using this template.   You will then be sent to the grading tab to begin grading.
