FAQ - Nomenclature for E3K photo eye sensor

Modified on Fri, 26 Sep at 11:37 AM

Q: What's the meaning of some suffixes in E3K part numbers?

A: The suffixes may indicate some technical features or product specifications:

  • The suffix: "-1" indicates that monitored output is provided. This part provides a 10k Ohm built in resistor between terminals 1 and 3. They can be considered interchangeable as long as the gate controller doesn't require the resistor. For example, part number: E3K-R10K4-NR-1.

  • The suffix: "-NR" indicates that the reflector is not included (Reflector PN: E39-R1). For example, part number: E3K-R10K4-NR.
