TG - E3X-HD Series - Initialize Factory Reset

Modified on Tue, 4 Feb at 3:33 PM

Purpose

Resetting your E3X-HD sensor to its factory default settings is a helpful step when you or someone else has modified the sensor’s configuration, and you want to restore it to its original state.

Explanation

By following the steps below, you can easily reset your E3X-HD sensor and start fresh with the default settings.

Supported devices

E3X-HD Family

Requirements

Fiber Optic Amplifier must be installed and powered.

Procedure

1. Ensure the sensor is powered on and properly connected. This reset process will restore all the settings to the factory defaults, so any custom configurations will be lost.

2. You will use two buttons for this reset procedure: The Light On/Dark On button and the S TUNE button (the buttons located on both ends of the sensor).

3. Simultaneously press and hold both the Light On/Dark On button and the S TUNE button for 3 seconds or longer.

4. Once you see "RST" (Reset) displayed on the screen, the sensor is asking for confirmation. To proceed: Use the arrow keys (Up/Down or Left/Right) to navigate through the options until you see RST INIT (Reset Initialization).

5. Once RST INIT is displayed, press and hold the MODE button for a few seconds to confirm the reset.

6. The display may blink or show a message indicating that the reset is in progress. Allow the sensor a moment to complete the process.

7. Done! The Amplifier is now in Factory Settings.

After resetting, you can reconfigure the sensor as needed for your specific application.
