Purpose
Enable the ability to “print” the current grading report to a PDF in the LVS-95XX software.
Problem Explanation/Objective
Although all grading reports are automatically saved to the local .mdb file of a given LVS-95XX-series barcode verifier, a user may wish to save the current grading report as a PDF for immediate use. Since the LVS-95XX software prints to the default printer on the PC, this procedure will describe how to change the default printer to “Microsoft Print-to-PDF”.
Supported devices
- LVS-95XX series barcode quality verifiers.
Requirements
- Windows 7/10/11 PC.
- LVS-95XX software.
Procedure
1. Open Windows Control Panel
2. Open “Devices and Printers”.
3. Right-click on “Microsoft Print-to-PDF” and select “Set as default printer”.
4. The printer icon should now have a green check mark on it. The next time you open the LVS-95XX software and click the “Print” button in the “Grading” tab it should open a window for you to choose a file name and save location for your PDF report. Your reports are also all automatically saved in your .mdb file for later viewing, which you could always print as a PDF later as well.
