FAQ - How to transfer parameters from an inverter using CX-Drive

Q: How to transfer parameters using the CX-Drive?

A: Follow the steps shown below to create a backup of the parameters from a drive: 

1 - Start CX-Drive:

2 - Open the Drive Menu and select Autodetect:

3 - Select all the options that apply (inverter, servo, series, and connection type):

4 - CX-Drive will search for the drive and show Online once the Inverter/Drive is detected: 

5 - Transfer the parameters from your Inverter/Drive by opening the Drive Menu, then select Transfer -> From Drive: 

6 - Compare the parameters to find any differences between the project and the drive by choosing Compare with Drive

7 - You can save the parameters to back up the entire project: 

8 - Transfer the parameters to a new drive (Follow steps from 1 to 4) and select Transfer -> To Drive

*Be careful when selecting the correct option. "Transfer from" uploads all the parameters saved on the drive to the PC. "Transfer to" downloads all the parameters from the PC to the drive.

9 - Compare the parameters to confirm that all the parameters were successfully transferred and saved.
