Sysmac Studio issue

Resolve error message:

"Application Error: Failed to Initialize Sysmac Studio. Sysmac Studio will now terminate"

Summary/Issue Description

"Application Error: Failed to Initialize Sysmac Studio. Sysmac Studio will now terminate" is an error that may occur when starting the software.

Root Cause

Sometimes the network domain that the computer is connected to can cause this issue. Another possible cause could be a faulty installation or not running the installation or software with administrator rights.

Solution

-Run the software with administrator rights or from a windows administrator account.

-Take the computer off the domain and then the Sysmac Studio will work.

If issue persists then use the following instructions:

-Group Policy:

Located at: Computer Configuration \ Windows Settings \Security Settings \ Local Policies \ Security Options.

Inside of Security Options look for “System Cryptography: Use FIPS Compliant Algorithms for Encryption, Hashing and Signing”

*When this is enabled, the software will give us the “Failed to initialize Sysmac Studio. Sysmac Studio will now     terminate”

*When this is disabled (default), the software works correctly.
