Mobile Software Activation Request

License activation procedure (Internal Use)

Purpose

This document will describe the process for activating software licenses applicable to the Autonomous Mobile Robot, EM2100, and Virtual Fleet Manager.

Problem Explanation/Objective

The Mobile Robots family has the ability to use add-on licenses to enable additional features purchased at a later date (dependent on existing installed features). This is done through the installation of license files. The activation procedure will be outlined here.

Supported devices

MD series
HD series
LD series
EM2100
Virtual Fleet Manager

Requirements

Complete Omron Entitlement Certificate file
Customer contact information
C2V file downloaded from the corresponding product (AMR, EM2100)
Access to the license activation portal

Procedure

1. Omron technical support receives the necessary information by email along with the C2V file for license activation, as shown in the following example:

2. Go to the license activation portal; you will need a username and password: https://omron.prod.sentinelcloud.com/epp/login

3. Click the “Search” selection:

4. Enter in the entitlement ID supplied to you via customer/requestor. Click “search” when done

NOTE: partial matches typically will work so the entire ID does not need to be entered.

5. Search should return only a single result. If multiple results returned, check ID entered/enter in more/complete entitlement ID. It should show '1' in the available column. Click “SO Number” link.

6. Enter the customer's email address, the sales order number, and the purchase order number; these numbers are located at the top and can be copied and pasted. Check the checkbox and set the quantity to Split: 1. Then click 'Split'. In this process, we will receive an email with a new EID that we will use to activate the license.

7. A confirmation window will appear. Click on 'Split'

8. An email with the new EID to be used for license activation will be sent to the email address used to access the portal.

9. It is recommended to note down the original EID and the new EID received by email for future reference:

10. In the licensing portal, click on 'Search' again and enter the new EID. Notice that the client's name and email are displayed. '1' is shown as available. Search should return only a single result. If multiple results returned, check ID entered/enter in more/complete entitlement ID. Click “SO Number” link.

11. Available quantity & Quantity to activate should both be 1.

Click on 'Someone else' and enter the client's email address

12. Check selection box. Click browse button then navigate to and choose the .C2V file that corresponds to the entitlement ID (sent by requestor/customer). Once all info is entered, Click Activate

13. Confirm that the customer contact is correct. Confirm that products match customer order and generate v2c file.

14.  Click “Click Here” to download .V2C File. Once activated, download the .V2C generated and send it to the requestor email by responding to the original email sent by the requestor/customer to tech support

Repeat entire process for each license beginning with the search of the entitlement ID.

Example of email:

15. License updates for incompatible product combinations will fail. Be sure to use the correct license file (c2v) for the product you are updating.
