TG - Internal Use - G9SP Password Reset

Purpose

Provide a solution for clients who need a password reset when they don’t have the information needed  to connect, modify, or download a program to the G9SP.

Problem Explanation/Objective

The G9SP is often used to control large-scale of safety equipment, sometimes the equipment can be protected by someone who lost the password or maybe it was purchased second handed, in does cases if the equipment is protected it won't let a person connect or modify the program, this document was made to make a recovery of the G9SP equipment.

• Waiver document (Provided by Tech Support Agent)

Procedure

1. If the conversation was not via email create an FD ticket
2. In the email sent it is important to specify that you will need a waiver signed by the user and that the program that is in the G9SP will be deleted.
3. The user will also need to send the information that shows as Vendor ID, Serial Number, and Counter, given by the following procedure:
   1. Select Program - OMRON G9SP Configurator - Password Recovery Tool (when using the default program folder names) from the Start Menu. 
   2. The Password Recovery Tool will start. Click the Connect to Device Button to connect online to the G9SP-series Controller.
4. Once the waiver and additional information is received, TSG agent will verify the information and reason why the reset is needed.
5. Input the information into the reset tool (internal tool) in order order to get the password reset.
6. Inform the user that the Reset Key has to be enter on the password reset tool and click the Reset Button.
