TG - User process for resetting G9SP password

*Resetting the password will delete the program inside the G9SP


Purpose

This document will explain the process of how to ask for a password reset on a G9SP controller and the information needed.


Problem Explanation/Objective

The G9SP controller has the possibility to lock your program with a desired password, this to protect and make sure that anyone can make changes to the program, for this reason, people can forget or lose the password information and not be able to access it again to the G9SP. The only way to recover it will be by resetting the password.

Requirements

  • G9SP Controller
  • USB Type B cable.


Procedure

  1. Reach TSG Support (ia.omron@omron.com) explaining that as a user you are searching for the first G9SP license and include the PO.
  2. TSG Support will send you a waiver file that needs to be filled with the company information, the user will need to complete it and send it back.
  3. Once the file is sent back, download the software from our OMRON webpage (automation.omron.com).
  4. The license will be sent via email in 24/7 hours estimated time for the user to complete the download just adding the license when it as for it.
