Purpose
This guide gives an example of how to use virtual Com ports to send serial data out of the LVS-95XX software.
Problem Explanation/Objective
Example of setup using Com0Com and Putty Terminal emulation to view grading data output from the LVS-95XX application.
Supported devices
- LVS-95XX
Requirements
- Virtual serial port Utility (ex: Com-O-Com) to create a virtual "pair"
- Terminal emulator such as 'Putty'
- LVS-95XX software and a connected verifier such as LVS-9510 / 9580 / 9585
Procedure
1. Open the LVS software and log in with the Password of the Day.
- Navigate to the Archive tab and enter the following Query: select * from settings
- Enter changes desired such as Com port number and baud rate etc. - see Figure A

2. Open Com0Com and set up the virtual pair. See Fig B and C

3. Start Putty and set up the receiving Com port (Fig. D and E)
