TG - How to wire External Sensor Trigger MV-40 & F430

Modified on Wed, 21 May at 9:51 AM

Note: For this guide we will use model name F430 which is the same as the older MV-40 camera pinout/fit/form/function

Wiring the Sensor

To trigger the F430, first make sure that the active vision job file loaded on the camera has the trigger set to "Sensor" so that it is actually expecting a hardware trigger signal on that trigger pin.

Then when it comes to wiring, you first need to have Input Common connected to either the 24V+ pin or the Ground pin on the F430. Once that is done the Trigger pin will need to receive the opposite signal of whatever is connected to Input Common. So if Input Common is connected to the 24V+ pin on the F430, the Trigger pin would need to be pulled to Ground, and vice versa.
