Q: How to solve the Tag Name Resolution Error (0x34270000)?
A: This error can be caused by different reasons as follows:
Indicates that the tag resolution for CIP communications
• The size of the network variable is different from the tag settings.
• The I/O direction that is set in the tag data link settings does not agree with the I/O direction of the variable in the CPU Unit.
• There is no network variable in the CPU Unit that corresponds to the tag setting.
When this error happens, you must check the following:
• Check that network variables have the proper size. Originator Variable and Target Variable must have the same byte size.
• The I/O direction that is set in the tag data link settings does not agree with the I/O direction of the variable in the CPU Unit. Review that the Tag Set Name has the correct name of the Network variables published.
• There is no network variable in the CPU Unit that corresponds to the tag setting. Go to Sysmac Studio Tools Menu, open the Ethernet IP Connection Settings:
With the Window open, double-click on the PLC that has the error:
Open the Connection Tab, and you should see all the devices registered. Delete all the ones that are not connected to the network. Right-click on the device and select Delete:
Open the Tag Set Tab and verify that all the tags were deleted:
Click the Transfer to Controller button to save the new settings (If it is gray out, go online with the controller first):
