Q: How do I import a custom image into a Sysmac Studio project for use in NA5 rotation animation
A: Open your Sysmac Studio project containing your NA5 HMI configuration.
In the Multiview Explorer (navigation tree on the left side), expand your NA5 HMI project.
Navigate to "HMI - Resources - Root" and either double-click on it or right-click and select "Edit" from the context menu.
A resource configuration tab will appear in the Edit Pane.
In the resources grid, right-click and select "Add" to import your custom image.
Browse to the location of your image file, select it, and click "Open".
Your image will be imported into the project resources and will be available for use in your rotation animation.
Supported image file formats include:
• BMP (1, 4, 8, 16, 24, or 32-bit)
• GIF (1, 4, or 8-bit; transparent color supported)
• JPG/JPEG (8-bit grayscale, 24-bit)
• PNG (1, 4, 8, or 24-bit with transparency support)
• SVG (version 1.0)
• XAML
• DXF (R12 and older)
Best practices:
- While the maximum file size for videos is 100 MB, it's recommended to optimize your images for better HMI performance.
- Large or high-resolution images may impact runtime performance.
- The imported image will be packaged with your project when you build and deploy your HMI application.
