TG - How to import a PLC file in CX-One

Purpose

This guide explains how to import a PLC file into the CX-One software.


Problem Explanation/Objective

When direct access to a PLC is not available, users can save the program file to a USB drive or a PC for use in another location. For this reason, the program needs to be imported into CX-One software. 


This step-by-step guide explains how to successfully import the program file into CX-One.


Supported devices

  • CS1 Series 
  • CP1E Series 
  • CP1L Series 
  • CP1H Series 
  • CP2E Series 
  • CJ2M Series


Requirements

  • CX-One Software
  • .cxp program file


Procedure

1. Open the CX-One software.

2. Open a new project.

3. Right click on your PLC, select Transfer and then From File.


4. Check the Program box and click on the "..."  button and locate the folder in which the .cxp file is saved. 


5. Select the desired .cxp file and click open.
6. Program should now be open and displayed on the software.
